Athletes for FEMR

Help raise funds and awareness for the Foundation for Education and Musculoskeletal Research (FEMR) while doing something you love.  FEMR is looking for individuals or teams with a passion forRunning for FEMR the cause to make us your charity of choice.  When you cross that finish line, not only will you have achieved your personal goal but you will be making a difference in the lives of others.

Everyone participates for a different reason whether it’s to support a cause, to get in shape, to accomplish a goal and maybe even for the rewards that come from hard work and dedication. In fact, studies suggest that working hard for a cause, results in an individual becoming more involved and more motivated to help that cause. That could explain the appeal of charity triathlons, marathons and the latest craze: running up the stairwells of skyscrapers.

It’s never been a better time to get fit while supporting your favorite charity, FEMR. Athletes for FEMR will make a difference, something more important than just getting into good shape.  Whatever your next athletic event is, make FEMR a beneficiary of your efforts.

Going the distance…

Dr. Jimenez is making strides in and out of the operating room to keep bones healthy. Taking it one step further by competing in marathons throughout the year, he hopes to increase awareness for FEMR and raise funds to further its’ mission.

He completed his first marathon, the San Diego Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon on May 31, 2009 and has since participated in 6 others. In 2012, Dr. Jimenez again hit the ground running in back to back events with the Top of Utah Marathon in September and the Bank of America Chicago Marathon in October.

You can be his running mate by making a donation to support his efforts on behalf of FEMR. (You may not be literally pounding the pavement, but you will be helping pave the way for over half of Americans living with musculoskeletal health issues.)
